The ultimate way to send an important message, declaration, dedication or tribute! Or to communicate with aliens, if you believe! Once the message has been decided upon, the recipient must provide the text and a delivery address for the certificate. They can complete this process online or by post - full instructions are enclosed in their gift box. The message is then sent to a space broadcast centre in North America where it is encoded by a computer into a format that is suitable for transmission. The message is then sent into space using a laser telescope. The message will theoretically be detectable for over 1,000 years - possibly forever!

How do I provide you with the message?
You can do this online or by returning the gift registration sheet by post. To ensure accuracy and a shorter turnaround time it is advised that you complete your registration online. Full instructions of how to register are included in the gift box.

What can the message include?
Your message can be up to a total of 128 characters in length. It can contain any content at all provided it does not violate British law, contain explicit language or advocate violence against others. Gift Republic has the right to withhold any message if the content is deemed unsuitable.

Could my message be intercepted by aliens?
The possibility of life outside our home planet is becoming more widely accepted. If there is intelligent life out there and it is at a similar technological level to here on Earth it is feasible that your message could be read by them!

What happens if the beam hits an object in outer space?
Like a torch your message’s beam will get wider and wider as it travels through space so neither planets, stars nor any other space objects will stop its journey.

How will I know that my message has been sent?
Your confirmation certificate will be dispatched to you within 7 days of your message beginning its journey. This certificate will state the message and date that it began its journey.

How long do I have to register my gift?
You have 12 months in which to register your gift. After this period, the gift code will expire. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible.
